Mission

We created Hobnob from a simple premise:

People do their best work when they love what they do…
but to love what you do, you have to find work that matches who you are.

Unfortunately, that’s easier said than done. Many people feel unfulfilled by their careers — even seemingly successful professionals who had access to well-funded career centers when they were students.

When you consider how much of your life is spent working — over 2,000 hours per year — the frustration that people feel toward their work is alarming. We pored over research that shows the true impact of how our nation goes to work — the health issues and productivity losses and damaged relationships and said, “There has to be a better way.”

That’s why we created Hobnob. We want to stop this trend of people working in careers that they merely tolerate. We want to reduce the frustration and time it takes to find careers that fit. And we want to do this all in a way that can impact as many people’s lives as possible.
